Florida

The Sunshine State

In addition to being one of America's favorite vacation destinations, Florida has been a favored re-location choice since the 1920s. The geography is diverse and the climate, for the most part, is "frost free" with exception to an occasional cold front passing through the northern part of the state. On average, northern Florida is 14 degree cooler in the winter, but only a slight two degrees cooler in the summer. The west coast brings an additional dynamic to the matrix with drier with clearer skies. The choices are all there for the taking.

Needless to say, the year round, outdoor, Florida life style is appealing to the masses, especially to those who have a passion for the outdoors and of course, golf. The state is home to well over 1,000 golf courses, many of which are in communities offering diverse amenities in a myriad of price ranges.

Despite the fact that more than 90% of the state is at or below sea level, avid golfers can enjoy traditional, marshland, parkland, oceanside, lakeside and even hillside layouts.

Florida was once described as one continuous fairway with water on both sides. Sounds like a great time to trade in your old snow blower for a new golf cart.
